As a building that could shape humanity. Titled the ‘Human Challenge Facility’, this facility specialises in the study of infectious diseases, accelerating the development of new treatments and vaccines. Once a series of offices, we transformed this space, adding 12 additional inpatient beds – and the research space to expand it’s essential work.
Through a steel framing system, partitions, plastering, and suspended ceilings, this became one of the largest non-commercial facilities of its kind, with every last detail catered for. Think air tightness to contain diseases, and so much more.
