This was a second-of-its-kind project in the UK – and when it comes to innovation, it shows. When we were awarded this existing project at Allerton Waste Recovery Park – a waste plant able to power 60,000 homes with 320,000 tonnes of household waste – we knew that our solutions had to match the pioneering and high-profile nature of the facility.
And that, it did, constructing and fitting out a 2-storey head office block, as well as numerous offices, control rooms, and welfare spaces throughout the plant. However, the jewel on the project’s crown was our structural steel framing system, adding multi-level walkways throughout the operational area, free of hot-rolled steel. From partitions and plastering to suspended ceilings, this essential piece of infrastructure was in the right hands.
